Using a prefabricated modular decking system is a great way to enhance your outdoor space, big or small. The team at Good Times share more information about why you should buy one.
Using a prefabricated deck
Prefabricated modular decking systems like the ones sold by Good Times are supplied in the kit form which makes them easy to transport and assemble.
All the support components are fully galvanised and cater for a range of deck heights with threaded adjustable feet that have a key head insert for easy height adjustment using a cordless drill.
For decks, without cladding, there are treated pine feature posts which can be used in lieu of the steel supports.
This system is perfect for areas that may be difficult to excavate or there is a waterproof membrane on an outdoor terrace. A Good Times deck can be built directly on concrete, existing pavers or grass/soil.
The deck can be built directly on an existing concrete, paved or tiled area, the fully galvanised feet can sit directly on hard surfaces with ease. Each support foot has a ball jointed base to adapt to any cross fall or uneven surface.
There is no need to dig holes and concrete supports into grass or soil areas, all you need is a concrete paver (300mm x 300mm x 40mm) which will be the support base and work like an above ground sole plate.
Where each support is required to remove any loose organic material (grass, leaves etc.) and ensure the ground is compact, then simply place the concrete paver under each support foot.
Use the modules to create a feature in your area. The frames and panels can be put together in a standard layout or parquetry pattern. Whether you need a large deck or a walkway, get creative and design your deck to enhance your garden.
